The AYSO® name and mark, and all other trademarks, service marks, logotypes, designs, and copyrights associated with or related to AYSO (Intellectual Property) are the sole and exclusive property of AYSO and are protected under the laws of the United States of America and international treaties. Each Web site must display all necessary and appropriate trademark, copyright, and other proprietary notices in the name of AYSO on the home page or in an equally prominent location and no Section, Area, or Region may display, reproduce, distribute, modify, transmit, or otherwise use or authorize the use of the AYSO Intellectual Property in any way for any public or commercial purposes, without AYSO’s prior written consent.

LOGO LAWS

1. Designing a logo representing AYSO improperly or incorrectly by taking creative license can backfire. Surveys repeatedly show that the public recognizes an organization by its logo.

2. You must seek permission from the National Support & Training Center (NSTC) to reproduce an AYSO logo on an item. People assume that if the AYSO logo is printed on a product, AYSO endorses that product to a certain extent. Reputations come under attack if it doesn’t live up to our high standards.

3. Because of these reasons and other legal Considerations, no vendor may use the AYSO traditional logo (round with AYSO in the square inside), promotional logo (horizontal with the soccer ball) or AYSO slogans (Everyone Plays or PLAYSOCCER) on any promotional apparel, pins, frames, medals, trophies, etc., without first obtaining a Logo Authorization form from AYSO.

4. Getting approval to use these logos and slogans for your Region’s needs is easy, and aids in protecting the logos. Call the Creative Services Department at the NSTC, (800) USA-AYSO, for a Logo Authorization Form.

5. If you are designing a special logo promoting your tournament or region, run it by a member of the Creative Services Department prior to the printing process. They can offer you guidance on the rules and on the procedure to obtain consent. All requests to download the AYSO logo and trademarks must be referred to AYSO. All requests from any commercial company should also be directed to the AYSO NSTC Marketing Department.
