One issue raised by our recent DRB is the amount of smack talk among the older players. Please encourage your region’s referees to address inappropriate language issues as soon as they occur. Unsporting Behavior can be used to deal with this issue. Keeping smack talk under control will help minimize feelings of ill will that might develop into unnecessarily hard fouls and a loss of control of the match.

Please be sure to mention these issues to any ref doing U14 or older matches.
